Homework:
Find an artist for the below task and research them, keep in mind what art you would like as your final product;

Task:

To research a type of Pacifica Art; Visual, (painting, sculpture, dress, mats…) Dance, Music.(can use computer)  To create your own piece of artwork which is inspired and follows the concept you have researched.  It must be uniquely symbolic and meaningful to you conveying a message about you as well as reflecting you as an NZ artist.
Students can choose own media  - must have;
Clear background research on an artist; and how they have conveyed messages through their art.

A completed work of art
A written blurb about yourself as the artist.  What the message you are conveying, explaining the use of symbols, and aspects of your artwork. 
Have artwork ready for exhibition afternoon
